A public meeting is scheduled to update residents on the status of two public works projects for the community of Red Feather Lakes.
The Red Feather Lakes [RFL] The Centerline Project and Wastewater Feasibility Study is presented to the RFL community by Larimer County staff and the RFL Planning Advisory Committee for an open discussion June 4 at 9 a.m. at the Community Association Building, 58 Firehouse Lane , Red Feather Lakes. To participate, everyone is invited to access the survey and audience engagement app.
The Centerline project is part of the community improvement goals of the RFL Regional Plan to develop a structure to prioritize road maintenance through a partnership with Larimer County and the RFL community.
The sewage and water study aims to determine if the RLF community is interested in building a centralized sewer and water system and the best location for the system. Larimer County Engineering and Larimer County Health and Environment contracted with an engineering company to conduct the study.
Most properties in the RFL zone are equipped with wells and septic tanks or vaults. There is no centralized water sewerage system in the area except for a few housing estates.
