Nearly a decade of specialized multimedia services.

Downtown print started as a multimedia company almost 10 years ago, specializing in offering video, web, print and audio recording services. The company was co-founded by Alex Molfetas and Kurt Effertz, and quickly evolved to focus on print, web design, graphic design and based on a true passion for customer service.

“The early years, as with any startup, were tough with many long days and countless weekend projects,” says Kurt Effertz, co-owner/CFO of Center City Print. “In 2018, we opened our second branch on Wyoming Avenue in Kingston. This new location really tested the business model we developed and brought us directly to the Greater Wilkes-Barre area which turned out to be a positive experience and we enjoyed getting to know the local businesses and community better. .

Prior to starting Center City Print, Kurt worked in a few different industries including food service management, light industrial manufacturing, and web development. Kurt says web development was what connected him to his partner and gave them the inspiration to create Center City Print.

“My partner, Alex, fell in love with the city of Scranton and the NEPA community at a young age. He decided to attend college at NEPA and purchased a building in downtown Scranton with a dream of creating the business we have today. I met Alex at the start of his business, as I too had moved to the area for college, and together we developed the Center City print to from scratch,” Kurt explains. “We continue to stay in NEPA because we’re not just a business located here; we’re neighbors, community partners, and owners who are passionate about this community. to our community and we certainly mean it.
