He’s been spotted all over the city, from professional sports games to tasting the local cuisine.
But it was a dining experience that not only went viral, but left a downtown wait staff with an unexpected treat.
“I actually didn’t know who he was,” Sarah Morison said. “I know the name, but I’m not a sportswoman.”
Sarah Morison says she was the waitress who served Ochocinco at Green Eggs Café.
According to his social media page, the former NFL player is in town for the next two months and stopped by the popular cafe on Sunday.
“He was super nice, very cool. He said he didn’t want anyone to know who he was,” she said.
Morison says she didn’t expect what was to come after she deposited the check.
“He pulled out a Google article and it said his name left a huge tip for the waitress. He was like, ‘I want to do this for you,'” Morison said.
The Green Eggs Café offers cash only, but Morison says it all worked out since he donated $1,000.
“We pooled, so it went to all of us, which was really great,” Morison said.
Ochocinco took to Twitter to say the cafe manager was very helpful in helping and that Philadelphia was a great experience.
