Round 1 – Jackson pumps the jab and Rosa steps back. Jackson walks forward and moves through the clinch and directs the action towards the cage. Melee battle. Rosa with one knee inside. Jackson complains that it’s low, but Rosa doesn’t seem to think so. They argue a bit, and we get a break from the action. Quick press on restart. Strikes from both, including a sneaky kick from Jackson. He’s the one moving forward right now, but Rosa is happy to step back and take her own moments of offense. Jackson walks forward again, leading him to the cage. Rosa with a wide stance against the fence. Jackson with a few knees then backs up. The pace remains high. Jackson just misses a front kick to the face. Jackson slips under a punch and eventually gets the takedown, but Jackson immediately turns to the leg below. Jackson turns with it and lands a few big punches. Jackson has control of the right leg, but Jackson is safe as he kneels and strikes. Jackson turns to ring the bell, but he’s running out of time. MMA Junkie gives Jackson the first, 10-9.

Round 2 – Jackson comes out quickly and also shoots the high kick. Rosa turns around in the pocket and places a right hand. Jackson pushes forward and knocks Jackson off balance. Rosa rolls through her and comes back to her feet. Jackson with a flying knee as he charges forward and brings him down. Rosa tries the leg again, but it’s not there. Rosa crawls to her feet, but Jackson does. goes to the back and drags him in a kneeling position. Jackson stands up and he receives a warning for grabbing the fence as he works against the cage. Jackson stays with him and trains him again. Rosa immediately to a kneeling position, and he stands up. Jackson still on his back. Another warning to Rosa for grabbing the cage. Jackson does not let go and drags him again. Jackson tries to back up, but he’s stoned, so he needs to back up a bit. Rosa gets up again, but he just can’t break free. Jackson lifts his opponent in there and slams him against the canvas, and this time he gets a hook. Figure four follows, and Jackson drives out the choke. Rosa is able to twist around a bit and release the pressure, but Jackson is now on top and firing with punches and elbows. Jackson tries to tie the triangle of the arms to the end, but the horn sounds. MMA Junkie gives it to Jackson, 10-9. I wouldn’t hate a 10-8 there.

Round 3 – Rosa has to shake things up. The rotating elbow lands big. But as they engage, Jackson wraps his arm around his neck and drags the action onto the canvas. Jackson is cut off and flees badly. He tries to finish, but Jackson pulls his arm away. Jackson has blood flowing near his right eye. He desperately needs the pressure. Rosa crawls and we get a time out. The doctor is coming to take a look, but we will continue to fight. Jackson is on his back. He gets a withdrawal, but he can’t keep it. Rose pulls back and scrambles. Blood is all over both fighters. This is madness. The canvas is splashed. Rosa is able to slide and control forward as Jackson kneels down. Jackson is just holding his right arm. Rosa changes, and he has a crucifix on his back. Jackson’s head down, and Rosa pulls him back to turn around. Rosa can attack the back, but Jackson spins on the inside. Great time there from Jackson. Less than a minute. Rosa kicks high in the legs and looks for the triangle. Bot there. Jackson passes his legs. Rosa scrambles until the end. Wow. Talk about bowel control. MMA Junkie gives the final round to Rosa, 10-9, but attributes the fight to Jackson, 29-28.

Khamzat Chimaev and Jack Hermansson will meet in a freestyle wrestling match on November 19 in Sweeden, Gothenburg.

Swedish MMA and Fighting News Media Frontkick.online announced the match-up and confirmed the news on social media. Chimaev will face the Swedish middleweight at Bulldog Fight Night 9 on November 19. As it stands, Hermansson currently has no UFC fights lined up. Meanwhile, “Borz” is scheduled to return later this month on October 30 at UFC 267 in Abu, Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. The rising UFC star is tasked with battling with No.11 ranked Li Jingliang.

Hermansson last fought in late May after defeating rising prospect Edmen Shahbazyan in a unanimous decision victory. Prior to his success, “The Joker” lost a fight to Italian Marvin Vettori. It appears Hermansson intends to remain vigilant pending his next UFC deal.

Chimaev took the world by storm in 2020 after winning his first three UFC fights. In his last fight, Chimaev scored a spectacular knockout against Gerald Meerschaert in just 17 seconds. Not only did the Russian native manage to complete all three fights in the UFC, he has fought three times in just over two months.

We didn’t see many Shimaevs inside the Octagon. Through the lens of a freestyle wrestling match, fans will be able to observe where Chimaev’s cardio sits after a torturous battle with COVID-19. Interestingly, Chimaev is in the camp for a 170-pound contest, but will face a 185-pound natural fighter when he meets Hermansson in Sweeden, Gothenburg.

Who do you think will win the freestyle wrestling match?

Hailing from Georgetown, Stellar Fights founder Brad Dalton has been hosting MMA events primarily in Harrington, Delaware for more than a decade now after training as a fighter himself. And now, next weekend, Stellar Fights arrives in Salisbury, where they will be holding a show at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center on October 16.

For Dalton and Stellar Fights, their 47th fight card will also be their first fully professional fight card, with all 18 fighters on the nine fight card being professionals in the MMA world. And with these professional fighters coming to Salisbury next weekend, Dalton is hoping the hard work to put it all together pays off as an introduction to the world of mixed martial arts for Salisbury combat sports fans.

“I would really love to do a show in Salisbury once or twice a year at the Civic Center, that’s kind of my main focus,” Dalton said in an interview. “We wanted to make it big with TV production and stuff like that.”

According to Dalton, the last fight staged by Stellar Fights was the biggest to date, taking place at the State Fair Grounds in Harrington and selling the location. With this success, Dalton knew it was time to expand his size, reach, and location.

Stellar Fights 47 will take place on October 16 at the Wicomico Civic Center. All matches will feature professional fighters.

According to Dalton, many of the fighters competing on October 16 were the ones he connected with as they transitioned from amateurs to professionals. Most of the fighters come from up and down the East Coast, with a few from Alaska and California for the event.

Following: Olympic hurdler Luke Campbell returns to the league for questions and answers with students

Following: Washington beats Snow Hill at home, 4-2

“This is our first fight we’ve ever done that’s all in Pro MMA,” said Dalton. “It’s definitely a big leap from what we’ve done in the past.”

Will Tommy Fury be Jake Paul’s next opponent?

Even though Paul continues to troller Fury daily on social networks, this is a question that remains without a definitive answer. The two boxers are in talks for a year-end showdown, and Fury said on Wednesday MMA time that although he had heard no updates over the past week while in Las Vegas supporting his half-brother Tyson ahead of the Deontay Wilder trilogy, he is “pretty confident” that they will be able to reach an agreement.

“I’m ready, like I’ve always said,” Fury said on MMA time. “This fight, anyone who knows me and has seen me train in the gym and seen my performances in other fights knows I’m way too much for Jake Paul and knows it’s a lag. So if he really wants this fight, I don’t know. I know he offered money on it. I know he did this and that, but the offers he made were terrible.

“I know I can crush a Jake Paul anywhere in this ring because what is he?” He’s a YouTuber and he’s taken to boxing, he’s a man with a pair of boxing gloves. He has no talent. What’s wrong with him? We saw it in the fight against Tyron Woodley. He was doing eight rounds, Woodley never punched and [Paul] was gassed and he was looking at the clock every round so what is he going to do with me that’s going to squeeze him every second of every minute in this fight? He will collapse and that will be his end.

Fury, 22, has been closely linked with a fight with Paul since making his United States debut on August 29 in Paul’s game against former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. Fury won a unanimous decision on that card over Paul’s training partner, former Bellator fighter Anthony Taylor, to take his professional boxing record to 7-0. And while Fury admits his own performance was lackluster, he was far less impressed with what he saw of Paul’s eight-round victory over the former UFC welterweight king.

“I thought it was absolutely shocking,” Fury said. “Look, my performance wasn’t the best, was it? But his performance was absolutely shocking. Absolutely evil. He was hit all of a sudden, almost falling through the ropes. His footwork is horrible. He doesn’t move his head at all. He’s just what he is, isn’t he? It looked a little fishy to me, to be fair, because once Woodley hit him with that right hand he walked away [Paul]. He was through the ropes.

“Now if it had been [me], I would have been all over him, crushing with 10 or 12 punches all around the head. But I do not know. Listen, he is what he is, isn’t he? He’s a novice. As much as I am, but he is more novice than me.

Fury and Paul had a backstage altercation following the Paul vs. Woodley event and the two have since shot each other in the media.

Paul fired the final salvo in late September when he issued what he called a “final” warning to Fury to accept the terms of their proposed fight. In the post, he warned Fury not to waste the opportunity to fight him like Bellator fighter Dillon Danis did in previous negotiations and bluntly told Fury that “nobody cares about you if they don’t. was for your older brother, whom I respect, or your catfish girlfriend We all made you famous.

Fury has a high-profile relationship in British circles with Molly-Mae Hague, an English television personality whom he met on a popular British reality show. The island of love.

Asked about Paul’s message, Fury couldn’t help but laugh.

“I can’t even talk about it because it’s just silliness,” Fury said. “And the reason everything is bullshit when he says is because I’m not replaceable.” And the fact that I’m not replaceable is that everyone is fed up with seeing him fight those same fighters, UFC here, UFC there, old record, old men. There’s no one else with a brother like mine, the best fighter in the whole world – the WBC online heavyweight world champion – and me below him in the same class as Jake Paul with the weight. that I have. Name me another boxer who has had seven professionals and got the recognition that I have.

“It’s fair, maybe it is from something else, but the recognition is still there. There’s no one else around, and that’s why this fight is still being discussed and negotiated, because he knows how important this fight is. And if he went out to fight another man in the UFC, people would start to lose interest, and he knows it. But everything he says there is stupid, it is absolutely stupid. … I know it’s a cliché for a boxer to say it, but there won’t be a game plan for this fight. I’ll go straight to him and annihilate Jake Paul.

“It’s tailor-made for me,” Fury continued. “He doesn’t move his head. It’s pointless anyway – I wish Jake Paul hit me for the fun of it. He is not good. So I’m sick of people comparing the fight between me and him. There is no fight. I’m going to go and it’s a sure-fire victory for me.

Fury made it clear on Wednesday that a fight with Paul remains his preference, but added that he plans to fight again in December whether or not a deal is struck.

“Look, I’m not about to put my career at a standstill for someone like Jake Paul, a YouTuber,” Fury said. “I am a professional athlete, a professional boxer who has been doing this for a long time. Jake Paul or not Jake Paul, you will see me in the ring again in December.

Fury also took a trick out of Paul’s bag and walked away with a final message for his controversial American rival.

“When you and I step into the ring, kiss each other goodbye and never put on a pair of boxing gloves again because it’s over for you,” Fury said. “I’m going to send you straight back to where you belong – skipping YouTube decks and messing around, because you don’t belong to my world, mate.” And you will find out very soon. So keep talking.

The other welterweight fighters have blood between them, dating back to 2019. “Rocky” and “Gamebred” traded verbal blows backstage at a UFC event. This led to a brawl between the men and Masvidal hit Edwards with a three-piece and a soda.

Since, the british requested a fight with ‘Gamebred.’ But the fight never happened because of the promotion or Masvidal. Now the American fighter, who is on a two-fight skid, eagerly wants to get back inside the Octagon.

However, given the last exchange, it doesn’t look like the old rivalry will end inside the cage.

Leon Edwards and Jorge Masvidal will they fight?

‘Gamebred’ is yet to enter the cage after losing to Usman at UFC 261. It was his second straight loss. Meanwhile, “Rocky” has been unstoppable in the welterweight division since his last loss to Kamaru Usman. He’s on an impressive unbeaten streak and demands a title fight.

However, as the promotion set up a rematch for the welterweight title between Usman and Colby Covington, the Briton was left out of the title photo.

Therefore, Edwards must remain active to be viable for a title shot after UFC 268, otherwise Gilbert Burns could get the green light for a fight. That being said, Masvidal, despite his low ranking, is Edwards’ best option as this fight will result in exposure, a big payday, a chance for revenge for March 2019.

As ‘Rocky’ needs the general public’s call to get past UFC loser 268 and ‘Durinho’ in the race to fight for the title, it is imperative that he fights Masvidal. But one can understand his apprehension of fighting another lower-ranking enemy and risking his hard work.

On October 5, Week 6 of Dana White’s Contender Series takes place at UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada. Headlining the event will be the clash of two very talented prospects in the welterweight division.

Shimon Smotritsky is only 21 years old and has an impressive unbeaten record with 7 wins and no losses. He has experience fighting in promotions like Bellator. In this American promotion, he fought twice and won 2 victories. He made his Bellator debut in 2018 and defeated forward undefeated fighter (3-0-0) Levi Matan by unanimous decision. After that, he faced Ilya Gladkiy and suffered his very first loss in MMA. After fighting in Bellator, he fought in the Russian Cage Fighting Championship and defeated Russian fighter Sergey Yaskovets by split decision.

Unbeaten’s rival will be a fighter from Canada, Mike Malott. A 29-year-old fighter represents Team Alpha Male, which is one of the best teams in MMA. In his professional career, he has won six victories, suffered 1 loss and 1 draw. He started his career in 2011, but since 2015 he has only fought three times, in 2015, 2017 and 2020. Once he fought at the Bellator and ended up drawing against Ousmane Thomas Diagne (6- 8-0). After that draw he fought at XFFC and beat Craig Shintani (9-4-0), and the last time he fought at CFFC 91, against Solomon Renfro (8-1-0) and served him his very first loss in his MMA career.

Bet on Dana White Conteder Series Week 6 with 1xBet

If we check his stats we will see that he is a real finisher. He has 6 wins, all by submission or KO, and all in the first round. He suffered only one loss in 2015 to Hakeem Dawudo, a UFC fighter with 5 wins.

The fact that he doesn’t fight very often and has big breaks between fights makes me think he might not be in the best shape; Completing each battle in the first round is also a good thing, but also leaves question marks about the quality of his cardio and stamina if the fight continues for 2 or 3 rounds. However, the last time he faced an excellent fighter, he defeated him by submission with an undefeated record in the first round. Shimon has a great record, but he’s still 21 years old. I think he’s not as experienced as Mike because Mike competes in grappling and BJJ tournaments.

Bookies think Mike is a bit of a favorite in this fight, and I agree with that. However, Mike’s rival is only 21 and less experienced. In addition, Mike trains with a great team full of talented and experienced people. As a fighter I can say that having professional fighters in the squad is one of the most crucial things in becoming a successful fighter.

After scoring the biggest mixed martial arts victory of his career, Jonathan Pearce is back in training in Arizona.

The Johnson City native had the best performance of his career, winning by second-round submission against Omar Morales in their Sept. 25 featherweight bout at UFC 266. Pearce (11-4) dominated , with a 55-27 advantage in strikes and a 6-0 lead in eliminations before ending the fight with a choke in the back.

It was the first time Morales (11-2) lost by submission, as her only other loss was a decision against Gigi Chikazde, currently the world No.9 fighter. What’s scary for Pearce’s opponents is that he thinks there is a lot more to show.

“I feel like I still have much better performances. I just need the right opponent who is going to bring in a little more fighting, ”said Pearce. “I felt I was a manual pro this weekend and got my job done. I hadn’t finished a fight with a choke since I was in Bellator fighting Damir (Ferhatbegovic in 2017).

The bout has played out in Pearce’s past as the state finalist wrestler for Science Hill High School. While at Johnson City, he also worked extensively with coaches Casey Oxendine on his ju-jitsu skills and Dustin Walden with hitting.

Now in Arizona there is a different set of coaches who work on the ground and hit plays, incorporating wrestling and boxing techniques with other combat sports. He’s won seven of his last eight fights, including a round 2 TKO against Kai Kamaka III in a UFC Fight Night in 2020.

In fact, his previous six wins have all come from strikes.

“They say wrestling is the best experience to have in the sport, but it took me about a decade to get to where I am,” said the 29-year-old. “At this level, around this time, the game has become something different from what it started. It will continue to evolve. I always feel like the people who can dominate the pitch, but also have a good understanding of the standing game, will be the ones who thrive. “

Like some of the other combat sports athletes, Pearce has learned that cage skills only take one so far. He works hard on the marketing side of the sport, trying to increase his followers on Twitter and Instagram.

He comes from a versatile workplace, with his father and late grandfather being renowned construction contractors who showed him the importance of wielding a hammer, but also being a smart businessman. This is something Pearce applied to his own lawn care business before pursuing his dream of fighting full time.

“There’s a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes that people don’t see to take you from the Johnson City regional area to a competitor where you win on pay-per-view cards,” Pearce said. “When I first came to the UFC, I thought I would be fighting for a championship in two years. Then I tore my shoulder against Joe Lauzon.

“I didn’t come back to (sync) until I fought Kai Kamaka. Then the crown struck. But it worked in my favor to understand the game I’m playing and it’s not me playing.

BAGHDAD: Members of a paramilitary organization integrated into the regular Iraqi security forces lamented on Sunday an official decision preventing them from voting in the same way as other security personnel.

Security forces personnel will vote in the country’s parliamentary elections on October 8 in the places where they are stationed, two days before the main ballot, in which citizens will vote in their home constituencies.

A statement released by the electoral commission on Saturday sought to explain why members of the Hashed Al Shaabi – a militarily and politically powerful network of 160,000 people – will have to vote in the main ballot on October 10.

He said he contacted Hashed officials on several occasions to request lists of fighters to be included in the special vote.

“The Hashed authority did not give us the names on the list, so the commission included them in the general vote,” the commission said.

Voting in home regions could prove difficult for many staff stationed in geographically remote locations.

A spokesperson for a key Hashed group, Kataeb Hezbollah, said on Saturday evening that the measure “deprived fighters of their right to choose who would represent them and protect them from those who seek to weaken them.”

Ahmed Assadi, a Hashed lawmaker complained that “our brothers from Hashed Al Shaabi have been deprived of their special voting rights – they will only be able to vote if they leave their offices and return to their (home) regions “, in a statement published Sunday on social networks.

The legislator called on his supporters to move in droves “to compensate for the (lost) votes of our heroes who defend their positions”.

The Hashed, which includes dozens of mainly pro-Iranian Shiite groups, was created in 2014 to fight the Islamic State group, as the regular army failed to stem a meteoric advance that allowed the jihadists to break out. take over a third of the country.

The main Hashed coalition has 48 legislators among the 329 parliamentary seats.

They entered parliament for the first time in the 2018 vote, having contributed immensely to the defeat of ISIS.

Opposition activists accuse Hashed armed groups of being beholden to Iran and of being an instrument of oppression against critics.

Along with security force personnel, prisoners and displaced people will also vote in the special exercise on October 8.

More than 25 million citizens are eligible to vote in total in this month’s poll, brought forward a year to quell a protest movement that started two years ago but then shrank.

Alex Pereira is the UFC’s newest middleweight and has a history with middleweight champion Israel Adesanya.

Pereira fought Adesanya twice in kickboxing where he won one by decision and knocked out “The Last Stylebender” the other time. It’s still the only time Adesanya has been knocked out, so with Pereira making his UFC debut at UFC 268, Michael Bisping thinks that’s the fight.

“What a fun fight to do with a great storyline – Adesanya vs. Pereira for the middleweight title. He [Adesanya] it’s like “for the sake of the shit, is this guy just going to screw it up?” You know what I mean? He beat me twice in kickboxing, I fucked this world up and now the man… ..Izzy doesn’t shoot anybody, without offense, ”Bisping said on his podcast (via Sportskeeda).

Although Alex Pereira is only 3-1 in MMA and lacks experience in MMA, Bisping believes that due to their styles, this is a fight they could fight today. It would likely be a hitting fight as Adesanay wouldn’t shoot for a takedown.

However, according to AKA head coach Javier Mendez, although Pereira has beaten Adesnaya twice in kickboxing, he doubts it will be close.

“So I don’t personally see him and Israel being at the same level in MMA because Izzy is so far ahead of him. So far ahead of him. But, because he beat him in a kickboxing match, the knocked him out and beat him another time, people will want to see that. But you might be surprised to find out that this will be a whole different ball game. It’s not kickboxing, it’s MMA, “a AKA coach Javier Mendez said.

For Alex Pereira to even come close to a shot in Adesanya, he will need to win his fight at UFC 268 on November 6.

How would you like to see Israel Adesanya vs. Alex Pereira in the UFC?
